Rattlesnake, Lincoln Wood, Spring Gulch, Curry Cabin, Stuart Peak, Ryan, and Sawmill Gulch Trails


Starting Location: This trail is a loop that starts at the Trailhead in Lincoln Wood. Head upstream on the trail along the east side of Rattlesnake Creek to the Rattlesnake Recreation Area Trailhead. Head north along Rattlesnake Creek corridor, then turn left onto the Spring Gulch trail, then left onto the Curry Trail. At the next intersection turn right onto the Curry Cabin trail. Follow this trail up a step single track trail to the Curry Ridge trail, then turn right up a short connector trail, then right onto the Stuart Peak trail. This section is also known as the Trail of Tears. When you come to the section of the trail that turns left to the Snow Bowl Overlook, instead continue straight ahead without turning and onto the Ryan trail. Follow this trail as it loops back to the Curry Cabin trail. Proceed past the intersection that you came up from Spring Gulch and continue up to the top of the Curry Ridge trail. Proceed past the intersection that comes up the double track from Sawmill Gulch and continue to the Smokin’ trail, which descends down a steep face to the Sawmill Gulch trail. Follow this trail to the mandatory single track and to the Rattlesnake trailhead.
